Law enforcement agencies, emergency service providers and other public safety organizations can qualify for a large portion of this unprecedented funding, but the window of opportunity to apply is brief, and the strings that will accompany Recovery Act funds differ from the requirements with which grants-management professionals are familiar.This one-hour web program - delivered by two grants professionals who dedicate 100% of their professional lives to helping agencies find all sources of grants and funding - will delve into specific grant programs available to public safety agencies and explore the stringent new spending and accounting rules. By the end of this session, participants will know what funding sources to investigate - including some that are not earmarked specifically for public safety - and they will have a clearer understanding of the regulations unique to Recovery Act grants.
